SOLVING THE MYSTERY OF SMALL HARPOONS

Ancient peoples in the region made several types of harpoon head, and one particular kind of small harpoon head is very common in some early sites. Archaeologists were confused about what they were used for – but Elders were certain they were for fishing and described how they were used, solving the mystery.
