SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

In 2018, we incorporated Pitquhikhainik Ilihainiq Inc. as a social enterprise wing of our organization to develop Indigenous-led products and create additional revenue to support PI/KHS programming.

Our first venture is Kaapittiaq.

Kaapittiaq means 'good coffee' in Inuinnaqtun, and that is what we produce. We source green beans from Indigenous farmers in Peru and transform them into the Arctic's finest brew.

Kaapittiaq is an Inuit owned and operated business dedicated to supporting the survival and revival of our culture. Each year, up to 75% of Kaapittiaq's profits are used to create programs that promote Inuit culture, language and knowledge.
